Founded in 1980, CSHA provides legal education, promotes the
exchange of ideas and faciliates networking opportunities for
California healthcare attorneys involved in all aspects of the
healthcare industry including: hospitals; physicians and medical
groups; health plans; community clinics, government agencies,
academia and more.
The CSHA Board of Directors is charged with CSHA's policy
determination as well as performance and accountability to
CSHA members. CSHA Board members exemplify the diverse
composition of CSHA membership.
In CSHA committees, members come together to share knowledge in
meaningful ways. CSHA committees are responsible for the content
of all CSHA publications and events and offer valuable leadership
opportunities to CSHA members.
The Education Committee participates in the development and
administration of CSHA’s educational programs, including a 3-day
program each Spring and a 1-day program each Fall. Committee
members participate in all aspects of program planning including
topic selection, arranging speakers and planning program social
events.
The Publications Committee oversees the publication of
California Health Law News. Committee members are
involved in all aspects of the publication including topic
identification, authorship and editing.
The Membership Committee seeks to increase the size and diversity
of CSHA membership and expand member benefits. Additionally, the
Committee administers the Law Student Mentor Program, advocates
for CSHA members, develops membership questionnaires and responds
to member questions and requests.
CSHA membership offers a host of benefits including timely access
to the latest updates on state and federal legislation,
regulations, and case law that affects the healthcare industry.
