The Associate Counsel promotes and protects the interests, mission, and vision of CHOC Children’s by providing sound and confidential legal counsel to the organization and its leaders, primarily on contracting matters. This position focuses on contract preparation, drafting, review, and negotiation through the organization’s contract management system. Other areas of responsibility include legal research, legal analysis, oversight of outside counsel, advising on patient care and risk management issues and assisting on special projects. This position reports to the Associate General Counsel of the CHOC Law Department.

This position will require residency within proximity of Orange, California. As the position offers remote and telecommute work, it is the expectation that the requirements of CHOC’s remote work policy will be met. This position must be available for occasional in-person meetings, including but not limited to, onboarding.
