Senior Associate Attorney

The firm is seeking a senior associate-level attorney to join its
healthcare practice group. The attorney will be responsible for
handling a variety of matters focusing on representation of
healthcare payors in federal and state courts, administrative
proceedings before state and federal regulatory agencies, and
contractual arbitrations. Related issues include qui tam false
claims and insurance fraud cases, managed care liability and
coverage determinations, ERISA plan benefit disputes, contracted
and non-contracted provider disputes, administrative enforcement,
and professional license revocation or discipline matters. Remote
work will be considered based on level of experience.
Applicants must possess a J.D. degree, be licensed to practice as an attorney in the state of California, and have a minimum of three years of post-J.D. experience. Applicants must be active members in good standing of the California bar. Ideal qualifications include 3-7 years of experience litigating cases in federal and state courts, with substantial responsibility for all aspects of discovery, trial, and appeals.
Applicants must demonstrate a quick analytical ability and the facility to accurately and precisely articulate the critical issues in a case. Applicants must demonstrate superior oral and writing skills as well as strong research and interpersonal skills, and good judgment. Applicants must possess excellent communication and courtroom skills and exhibit the ability to work in a supportive and professional manner with clients, other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. Applicants must have a demonstrated capacity to function, with minimal guidance, in a highly demanding environment.
Salary and benefits are highly competitive. Pay will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
