In an effort to encourage more government attorneys to join CSHA,
the CSHA Board of Directors approved a Government Attorneys
Initiative Pilot Program. Most federal, state, county, and other
local government attorneys are eligible for membership with dues
of $25/year (a $200+ discount). CSHA may also provide a subsidy
up to the maximum amount permitted by the Fair Political
Practices Commission (FPPC) to be applied toward the tuition
for attending one of our seminars (Fall or Spring).
To qualify for the Government Attorneys Initiative Pilot Program,
your government employment information must be current and listed
on the State Bar of California’s website. Recipients of the dues
discount and/or tuition subsidy are responsible for their own
reporting obligations.
CSHA invites law students and recent graduates awaiting bar
results to join our organization and attend CSHA seminars for
substantially reduced fees.
This program provides law students with all the benefits of CSHA
membership at a reduced rate. Participants in this program are
eligible for CSHA membership with dues of $25/year (a
discount of $200).
Benefits of Membership:
California Health Law News, a members-only publication
One discounted $25 registration for the Fall Seminar (does
not include travel and accommodations)
In an effort to engage more new health law attorneys in CSHA, who
might not otherwise be able to afford membership, the New
Healthcare Attorneys program has been created. Attorneys who
have been practicing for less than five years
and who are in solo practice or at a
law firm or other small employer of fewer than three attorneys
are eligible to participate. Participants in this program
are eligible for CSHA membership with dues of $100/year (a
discount of $125).
In an effort to encourage retired health law attorneys to stay
involved in CSHA, the Retired Attorneys program has been created.
Retired Attorneys are eligible if they have been a CSHA full
member for the immediate prior five years, and are either
fully retired or are practicing health law no more than an
average of 20 hours per month. Participants in this program are
eligible for CSHA membership with dues of $125/year (a discount
of $100) and a 50% discount off spring and fall seminar regular
registration fees (does not include travel and accommodations).
CSHA membership offers a host of benefits including timely access
to the latest updates on state and federal legislation,
regulations, and case law that affects the healthcare industry.
